Frequently Asked Questions

Is TubePilot free to use?
TubePilot includes free credits when you sign up. After that, you can purchase credit packs. All features are available at every tier — credits are just for AI generations.
How many credits does each generation cost?
Each metadata generation (title + description + tags + category) costs 1 credit. You can regenerate as many times as you want — each regeneration uses 1 credit.
What YouTube data does TubePilot access?
TubePilot reads your channel info (name, keywords, description) and video metadata (title, description, tags) to generate tailored results. It can also update video metadata and manage playlists — but only when you explicitly click a button. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does TubePilot upload videos automatically?
TubePilot can automate the YouTube Studio upload wizard — selecting your file, filling in metadata, setting visibility, and clicking publish. But it only starts when you click "Upload & Fill" and you select the file yourself. Nothing happens without your action.
Can I edit the generated metadata before applying?
Yes. Generated titles, descriptions, and tags are shown in editable fields inside the TubePilot panel. You can modify anything before filling the form or uploading.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire. Use them whenever you need them.
Does TubePilot work on any YouTube page?
TubePilot activates on YouTube Studio pages (studio.youtube.com). The panel appears on video edit pages for metadata filling, and on any Studio page for uploads.
What browsers are supported?
TubePilot is a Chrome extension built on Manifest V3. It works in Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, etc.).

YouTube Data Access

TubePilot uses the YouTube Data API v3 to read and update your video metadata, channel information, and playlists. You remain in full control — TubePilot never publishes or modifies content without your explicit action. All YouTube API calls go directly from the extension to Google's servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
