Effective date: February 23, 2026
By using TubePilot ("the extension", "the service"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use TubePilot.
1. Description of Service
TubePilot is a Chrome browser extension that generates AI-powered metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) for YouTube videos. It integrates with YouTube Studio and the YouTube Data API to read and update your video information at your direction.
2. Account and Authentication
- You must sign in with a valid Google account to use TubePilot
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account
- You must have the right to manage the YouTube channel you connect to TubePilot
3. YouTube Content Responsibility
- You are solely responsible for all content published to your YouTube channel, including metadata generated by TubePilot
- TubePilot generates suggestions — you must review and approve all metadata before applying it
- You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with YouTube's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
- TubePilot does not guarantee that generated metadata will improve your video performance, rankings, or visibility
4. Credits and Payment
- Metadata generation requires credits, which can be purchased through the extension
- Credits are non-refundable once used
- We reserve the right to change credit pricing with reasonable notice
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By purchasing credits, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use TubePilot to generate misleading, deceptive, or spam content
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit requirements, or usage restrictions
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the extension
- Use TubePilot to violate YouTube's Terms of Service or any applicable laws
- Share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access
6. API Usage and Quotas
TubePilot uses the YouTube Data API, which is subject to daily quota limits set by Google. If quota is exhausted, YouTube API features may be temporarily unavailable. This is a platform limitation, not a service outage.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
TubePilot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Generated metadata will be accurate, appropriate, or effective
- The extension will be compatible with all systems or browser versions
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TubePilot and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or YouTube channel standing.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to TubePilot at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using TubePilot at any time by uninstalling the extension.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of TubePilot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
