Overview
Marketeer is a Chrome extension that generates AI-powered comment drafts for Reddit. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Google account email and name — used for authentication via Google OAuth. We receive your email and display name when you sign in.
- Credit balance and usage counts — tracked on our backend to manage your credit-based account.
- Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details.
Data Transmitted to Our Server
When you generate a comment draft, the following data is sent to our backend API and forwarded to Google's Gemini AI for processing:
- Reddit post title and body text
- Subreddit name and community rules
- Up to 5 top-level comments from the post (for context)
- The comment you are replying to (if applicable)
This data is used solely for generating your comment draft. It is not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the request.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Your Reddit login credentials
- Your browsing history
- Data from non-Reddit websites
- Personal data beyond what is listed above
How Your Data Is Used
- Authentication — your Google email identifies your account so we can track your credit balance.
- AI Generation — post content is sent to Google Gemini to generate contextually relevant comment drafts.
- Credit management — we record how many credits you purchase and use.
Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth — handles sign-in. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Gemini AI — generates comment drafts. Post content is processed by Google's AI. Subject to Google AI Terms.
- Stripe — processes payments. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase — stores your account data (email, credit balance). Subject to Firebase's Privacy Policy.
Local Storage
The extension uses Chrome's local storage to save:
- Authentication tokens (for session persistence)
- Selected product preference
- Comment history (which posts you've commented on)
This data stays on your device. You can clear it by removing the extension.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as required to provide the service (Google AI for generation, Stripe for payments, Firebase for storage) or as required by law.
Data Retention
Your account data is retained as long as you have an active account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

- Uninstall the extension at any time, which removes all local storage

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
